TECHNICHAL TRANSLATIONS

Highlights, 2020–2021

Translation into Danish of manuals and procedures for 𝗧𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗧𝗘𝗛 𝗟𝗤 Living Quarters (600,000 words)

2020–2021: Language Service was assigned the translation of the manuals and procedures to be used for the living quarters on 𝗧𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗧𝗘𝗛 𝗟𝗤, a mega-structure in the North Sea with seven floors, 130 feet high and weighing 4,900 tons, designed to house a team of 88 people. The translation project, highly technical in scope, was commissioned by Rosetti Marino Spa for the end customer Total Energies Denmark.

Technical translation us one of the sectors we specialise in at Language Service. To deal with problems of terminology, quality and interpreting in a professional way, we apply a few essential rules:


  1. Translation and revision are done by professional native speakers with solid experience specialising in the technical sector.
  2. To assuage any doubts in interpreting, we go into the topics of conversation with the customer, our external consultants and the other people in our network.
  3. We use advanced assisted translation programmes to maintain consistency in terminology and have a system for dealing with any sections of the text that are repeated or have already been translated for the same customer, saving a great deal of time and costs.
